Lemongrass has a pleasant, sweet, citrusy taste.  It is often used in Thai and may other Asian cuisines for its potent flavour. Lemongrass has antioxidant properties and might help prevent the growth of some bacteria and yeast, contains substances that are thought to relieve pain and swelling, reduce fever, improve levels of sugar and cholesterol in the blood and stimulate the uterus and menstrual flow.
